OOOOOOH NO HE DIN'T!
Paul,
I've received several complaints from club chairs in my state reporting that the CRNC has been calling them at home, asking them to submit current e-mail addresses and phone numbers for their entire membership. Ironically, it seems the only chairman in California the CRNC didn't contact was me.
What value do you see in state federations if you don't trust them to maintain their own membership lists? This job is difficult enough without the CRNC bypassing our executive committee and confusing the process. I would not have to write this e-mail had my calls been answered or my voicemails been returned. I am frustrated and appalled at the CRNC's rude and tactless approach.
Please consider this e-mail a formal request for the CRNC to refrain from making confusing and misleading calls to my club chairs which deliberately circumvent the CCR Executive Committee. Correcting this mistake will increase expediency for both of us and avoid confusion in the future.
Respectfully,
Mason J. Harrison
Chairman, California College Republicans
PS: I would also appreciate an explanation as to why your National Field Director was only able to recruit 15 CRs during his weeklong visit to a school with a student population of over 33,000.

Oh yes he did and he'll continue to.
I LOVE MASON!
What is it with state chairs that have been elected for 5 minutes? Mason and Erin think its a right of passage to embarrass themselves nationally?
How is this Mason embarrassing himself?
As a club chair in California I know everything he said was true. I was called by CRNC multiple times and asked for my membership lists as was every other club chair that I talk to on a regular basis. This is not Mason embarrassing himself this is him standing up for our state,
I'm a club chair and I can vouch for it too.
Is this being done for the CRNC, or to help Gourley's re-elect?
The Harrison letter? Who knows.
probably both.
i meant the information gathering, silly
It was probably CRNC trying to prevent Mason from doing anything.
If they wanted to prevent Mason from doing his job, it wouldn't take much. State chairs are not immune.
The CRNC wants to:
a) add e-mail addresses to it's listserv so it can spam members.
b) sell it's list to grover norquist, morton blackwell...etc.
c) use the newly updated info to send hit pieces on Mason and other club chairs. Why else would they have started calling California first...it was the biggest threat last time.
I love the smackdown pic haha. Perfect.
5:18 exactly what I've been trying to point out.
Okay Mason, stop the persistent praise. Wow, you would have thought that you run this blog or something.
Why is it so hard for people to understand that its not Mason or Clumpner writing this stuff. In California we actually respect our state chairs because they are amazing people but oh well you can think what you want.
Shut up Centinello (11:41).
Everyone knows that if there is something bad posted about Mason on these blogs it's either a CRNC goon or Dan Centinello.
I don't think Dan has any problems with Mason and I don't think he'd write this crap.
Mason Harrison 2007!!
Mason should run for National Chair.
Mason should run for National Chair.
See Dan wants Mason to run for national chair. Hahaha I want to know who that was because I know who the "Mason Crew" is and we didn't write that hahahha. See everyone loves Mason!
I want to have Masons baby.
Sorry Dan you can't have his baby I'm already going to after I marry him!
What's with the Mason overload? Frankly I'm tired of it.
I'm sure he would agree.
Mason is a poor man's Puetz, who wasn't even in the same league as Davidson.
How can you even make comments like that about Mason yet?
Pink is a pretty color.
okay random.
You obviously can't judge what kind of state chair Mason will be at this point. Is he a Davidson? Maybe. Is he a Puetz? Who knows. Anyone judging him at this point obviously just has something against him (Centinello), so shut up and give him a chance first.
The CRNC demonstrated it could not be trusted with a listserv when Eric Hoplin put out the Ann Coulter release, which it still has not retracted to this day. It's pretty damn simple when someone goes onto a radio show and endorses Michael Davidson.
The CRNC needs to shut up, end of story.
GO MJ!
